Cazalet’s transition follows a career spanning the energy sector and nearly 20 years as a portfolio manager. His commitment to the region is rooted in his tenure on the board of UC Berkeley’s International House and his work with the Real Mental Health Foundation. The decision to enter the home-care sector was shaped by his parents’ experiences, where he witnessed the profound isolation faced by many aging adults and the benefits of maintaining independence at home.

Seniors Helping Seniors distinguishes itself by employing active older adults to provide care for their peers, a model intended to foster more meaningful companionship. The company, which now spans 400 territories across 38 states, views this human-centric approach as a vital response to shifting demographics. According to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services data, nearly 70% of retirees will require some form of long-term care, a statistic that underscores the pressure on local health services. Company President Namrata Yocom-Jan pointed to Cazalet’s leadership background as a key asset for the brand’s expansion, which currently includes 26 locations across California with further growth into San Francisco slated for later this year.
