DFRobot Launches seeMote Cube for Apple Vision Pro Spatial Control

Priced at $299, the seeMote Cube arrives as a handheld spatial input device designed to bridge the gap between immersive visualization and professional workflows. By integrating 6DoF motion tracking, six programmable buttons, and haptic feedback, DFRobot aims to move visionOS interactions beyond simple hand gestures into tangible, precise control.

As spatial computing migrates into sectors like digital twin inspection and industrial design, the reliance on purely gesture-based interfaces often proves insufficient for complex navigation. The seeMote Cube addresses this by providing a dedicated hardware layer for professional tasks, allowing users to move, select, and confirm parameters within 3D environments with physical feedback. The device is intended to complement, rather than replace, existing hand-tracking technology in Apple Vision Pro environments.

For developers, the hardware simplifies interaction logic by mapping navigation and object manipulation directly to the cube's motion sensors. Programmable buttons handle discrete commands, while haptic pulses confirm actions in real-time, reducing the cognitive load often associated with virtual-only interfaces. To accelerate adoption, DFRobot has released open-source resources, including USDZ assets and the seeMote Viewer source code. These tools allow teams to validate interaction concepts and prototype workflows before committing to custom hardware builds, shortening the development cycle for enterprise-grade spatial applications.
