Desert Voices, a leader in listening and spoken language education for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, has officially assumed leadership of the Hear for Kids initiative. This move secures the future of a program that has provided over 4,000 hearing aids to Arizona families since 1998. The transition, supported by the Vitalyst Health Foundation, ensures that children receive a continuous spectrum of care, from initial hearing technology access to specialized early education.

Executive Director Kristen Levi noted that the integration allows the organization to support families from the moment hearing loss is identified through the essential years of language development. As enrollment opens for the upcoming school year, the nonprofit aims to leverage its 30-year history of evidence-based therapy and speech-language coaching to serve a broader demographic. By combining clinical resources with academic intervention, the organization seeks to ensure children develop the necessary communication skills to succeed in traditional school environments.
