Alamo Group Expands UK Footprint with $158.7M Econ Engineering Deal

Econ Engineering reported net sales of roughly $88 million in its most recent fiscal year, drawing the attention of Alamo executives looking to bolster their industrial portfolio. Chief Executive Robert Hureau pointed to the firm's differentiated product line and resilient market position as primary drivers for the deal, noting that the integration offers substantial room for growth beyond Econ’s current core operations.

By absorbing the U.K. manufacturer, Alamo aims to leverage immediate synergies while integrating Econ’s service capabilities into its broader platform. This acquisition positions Alamo to capitalize on the steady demand for specialized maintenance equipment, effectively cementing a larger share of the roadway utility sector in the region.
