Xurrent Gains Recognition in 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for ITSM

Mid-size enterprises often face a stark choice between underpowered help desks and bloated, consultant-heavy legacy software. Xurrent, an Austin-based provider of AI-driven service management, has secured its first-ever recognition in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Service Management Platforms, marking a shift toward more accessible, high-performance tools.

The company’s platform aims to dismantle the traditional trade-off where organizations sacrifice power for simplicity. By integrating artificial intelligence directly into its core, Xurrent allows teams to automate routine tasks and improve service delivery without managing fragmented third-party add-ons or incurring hefty premium fees. This approach is designed to let internal IT departments configure workflows independently, removing the reliance on expensive external consulting teams typically required for large-scale deployments.

Mike Rossi, Senior IT Manager at Fiskars Group, noted that the platform’s design allows his team to manage operations without the operational burden usually associated with enterprise-grade solutions. Beyond deployment, Xurrent differentiates itself through a continuous delivery model that bypasses the months-long, disruptive upgrade cycles common in traditional ITSM software. Weekly updates are deployed across all environments with automated validation, ensuring that organizations can adopt new features without service interruptions or additional administrative costs. According to Chief Product Officer Phil Christianson, the goal is to provide mature service management capabilities while eliminating the "administrative tax" that often hinders business agility.
