Terex Raises 2026 Outlook After Strong Second Quarter

Terex Corporation posted $2.2 billion in second-quarter sales, a 50.5% jump from the previous year, as the company benefited from robust demand across its specialized equipment portfolio. The Norwalk-based manufacturer, citing solid backlog visibility and operational momentum, increased its full-year guidance for both sales and adjusted earnings.

CEO Simon Meester attributed the performance to improved profitability and strong execution across all business segments. The company reported adjusted net income of $156 million and an adjusted EBITDA of $269 million. Materials Processing and Specialty Vehicles served as primary growth drivers during the quarter, with the latter benefiting from higher shipments of fire apparatus and improved pricing power.

Despite a mixed environment in certain end markets, the company continues to advance its integration plans and synergy realization. Looking toward the second half of the year, Terex now expects full-year sales to reach between $7.9 billion and $8.2 billion. CFO Jennifer Kong-Picarello noted that the results exceeded first-half expectations, providing the necessary confidence to lift the company's financial targets for 2026.
