Netlist Returns to Profitability Amid Triple-Digit Revenue Growth

Irvine-based memory innovator Netlist swung to a $1.4 million profit in the second quarter of 2026, marking a sharp reversal from the $6.1 million loss recorded during the same period last year as the company continues to aggressively defend its intellectual property portfolio.

The company reported net sales of $109.8 million for the quarter ending June 27, 2026, a 163% increase over the previous year. This performance contributed to a six-month net income of $10.0 million, compared to a $15.6 million loss in the first half of 2025. Gross profit saw a significant surge, climbing 1,544% to reach $22.9 million for the quarter.

Chief Executive Officer C.K. Hong credited the turnaround to sustained revenue growth and the company's focus on next-generation AI memory technologies. While the firm maintains an active legal strategy to protect its patents against unauthorized use, operating expenses—specifically intellectual property legal fees—remain a substantial portion of the company's outgoing capital, totaling $25.7 million for the first half of the year.
