Live Nation Reports Record Concert Attendance for Second Quarter 2026

Live Nation Entertainment saw a surge in live event participation during the second quarter of 2026, with 49 million fans attending shows globally. The company reported $7.7 billion in revenue, a 9% increase over the same period last year, driven by robust ticket demand across stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters.

CEO Michael Rapino attributed the growth to an enduring fan preference for live experiences over digital alternatives. More than 143 million tickets were sold through mid-July, outpacing last year by 14 million. While the company faced a first-quarter legal accrual impacting operating income, it maintained a positive outlook, projecting double-digit adjusted operating income growth for the full year.

Ticketmaster proved to be a primary engine for this performance, recording a 14% rise in adjusted operating income. The platform sold 90 million fee-bearing tickets, with concerts accounting for the vast majority of that volume. International markets played a critical role in the quarter's success, contributing 70% of Ticketmaster’s adjusted operating income growth and fueling a 10% increase in global attendance. Looking ahead, the company holds a record $6.4 billion in event-related deferred revenue, suggesting strong momentum for concert activity through the remainder of 2026.
