Rackspace Technology Faces Securities Class Action Over AI Pivot

Investors who held Rackspace Technology, Inc. stock between May 7 and July 8, 2026, are being sought for a class action lawsuit. Schall, Brown & Schwartz LLP claims the company misled shareholders regarding the financial impact of shifting resources from its profitable Private Cloud business toward enterprise AI initiatives.

The complaint alleges that Rackspace executives issued materially false statements throughout the spring and summer of 2026. According to the filing, the company prioritized its AI business at the expense of its core Private Cloud division, which subsequently suffered revenue declines as clients migrated to hyperscale platforms. Investors contend that these internal shifts were masked from the public, leading to financial losses once the true extent of the fiscal impact became known.

Shareholders have until September 28, 2026, to apply for lead plaintiff status. While the class has not yet been certified by the court, attorneys Brian Schall, Andrew Brown, and David Schwartz are currently evaluating claims from affected investors. Participation in the lawsuit does not require an immediate appointment as lead plaintiff, though those who remain passive will stay as absent class members without individual legal representation.
