The transaction includes BWXT Medical along with the stable medical isotope assets of Kinectrics. Under the stewardship of Nordic Capital, the business aims to scale its manufacturing and delivery of diagnostic imaging and therapeutic products. BWXT leadership views the transition as a logical evolution for the division, which has seen its revenue roughly triple since 2018.
Rex D. Geveden, president and CEO of BWXT, noted that the partnership provides the medical team with an owner deeply committed to the healthcare sector. For its part, Nordic Capital intends to leverage its 35-year track record in pharmaceuticals and life sciences to accelerate the unit's growth. BWXT will continue to provide specialized isotope and radiochemical expertise as part of the ongoing relationship. The deal remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to finalize by the end of 2026.
