The company reported total sales and revenues of $20.5 billion for the quarter, up from $16.57 billion in the second quarter of 2025. This growth was largely fueled by a $3.1 billion surge in sales volume and favorable price realization of $595 million. Profit performance followed suit, with earnings reaching $7.77 per share, a significant climb from the $4.62 reported in the prior-year period.

Chairman and CEO Joe Creed attributed the results to broad-based momentum across the company's Power & Energy, Construction, and Resource Industries segments. Operating profit margins expanded to 20.9%, up from 17.3% a year earlier. Beyond operational gains, the firm maintained a disciplined capital strategy, deploying $2.2 billion toward share repurchases and dividends. Despite the record-setting revenue, the company noted that manufacturing costs remained a headwind, particularly within its Power & Energy and Resource Industries divisions.
