DISA Tech Spins Off to Scale Mineral Processing Technology

Wyoming-based DISA Technologies has launched DISA Tech as an independent firm, carving out its mineral processing operations from its uranium business. The split creates two distinct entities, allowing the newly formed DISA Tech to focus exclusively on commercializing its patented high-pressure slurry ablation technology across global markets.

The company’s HPSA platform is designed to improve mineral liberation and recovery rates, targeting both low-grade resources and legacy waste materials. By integrating into existing processing circuits, the technology aims to boost project economics and reduce operational waste. CEO Milan Sjaus will lead the new organization, supported by a board that includes Greyson Buckingham, John Lee, Ricardo Garib, and Marty Reed to ensure continuity for existing partners.

DISA Tech enters the market with a footprint of 12 active units across eight countries and a staff of 45 employees. While DISA Uranium remains focused on domestic remediation and nuclear fuel production, the spin-off is structured to pursue broader applications for the HPSA platform. Backed by the original investor group, the company plans to increase its capital expenditure to accelerate deployment across diverse mineral sectors.
