USPS Unveils Holiday Cookie Stamps for 2026

A festive collection of sugar-frosted cookies is coming to holiday mail this year, as the U.S. Postal Service prepares to launch its new Christmas Cookies Forever stamps. The issue features four distinct designs—a tree, a stocking, a wrapped gift, and Santa Claus—set against vibrant red and blue backgrounds.

The stamps were developed by art director Greg Breeding alongside designer Kyrie Johnson and artist Sarah Cramer Shields. Each image was crafted from photographs of cookies baked specifically for the project by Johnson. This release continues a long-standing tradition of holiday-themed philatelic designs that dates back to 1962, following previous cookie-themed issues in 2005 and 2017.

Public festivities will mark the launch on September 19 at 11 a.m. at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C. Attendees can secure their spot at the event by registering at usps.com/christmascookiesstamps. Beyond the first-day ceremony, the stamps will be available for purchase through The Postal Store online, by phone, or at local post offices across the country.
