Sunfish Launches Digital Program to Simplify Early Fertility Planning

Millions of prospective parents face a paralyzing mix of financial anxiety and medical uncertainty when starting a family. Los Angeles-based platform Sunfish is attempting to bridge this gap with Sunfish Starts, a six-month digital program designed to provide baseline testing and financial roadmapping before patients commit to expensive clinical treatments.

The program addresses the logistical hurdles of family planning by combining personalized diagnostic testing with financial optimization tools. By offering members access to cost estimates, insurance navigation, and discounted hormone or sperm testing, the platform aims to replace guesswork with data-driven preparation. Users can choose between an introductory tier focused on educational resources or a premium package that includes over $2,800 in savings on diagnostic kits and specialized care navigation.

Sunfish co-founder and CEO Angela Rastegar noted that the initiative acts as a roadmap for the often-opaque journey of conception. The company leverages a proprietary AI model that historically demonstrated a 97 percent accuracy rate in forecasting treatment costs and birth outcomes. This predictive engine currently supports a 79 percent success rate for patients, a figure that significantly exceeds the 54.3 percent U.S. national average. Through this digital hub, the platform intends to help families manage costs and clinical steps with greater transparency from the initial planning stages through to conception.
