Crafted from sustainably harvested northern hard maple at the company’s Crystal Falls, Michigan mill, the court required a precise logistical effort to integrate high-end athletic performance with the venue's financial atmosphere. The project involved a complex finishing process, including sanding, sealing, and the application of Jordan Brand graphics, managed by San Marcos-based QHF Sports. The installation highlights an increasing demand for unconventional, site-specific sports event solutions.
Benjamin Bachman, CEO of Gerflor North America and Connor Sports, noted that the project showcased the company’s ability to execute complex, out-of-the-box installations in non-traditional environments. Beyond the design, the court adheres to the environmental standards long maintained by Connor Sports. Since 2009, the manufacturer has held a "Zero Waste" designation and maintains certifications from the Rainforest Alliance and the Forest Stewardship Council, ensuring that the materials used in such high-profile events align with strict renewable resource protocols.
