Zebra Technologies Surges as Earnings Top Analyst Targets

Investors pushed Zebra Technologies shares up 19% to $346.84 following a quarterly report that easily outpaced Wall Street expectations. The stock, now boasting a 43% gain since January, surged as the company leveraged robust demand for automation and Physical AI to drive significant bottom-line growth through the second quarter.

Zebra Technologies Surges as Earnings Top Analyst Targets

Net income jumped to $233 million, or $4.85 a share, more than doubling the $112 million reported during the same period last year. On an adjusted basis, the company posted earnings of $6.35 per share, far exceeding the $4.36 consensus estimate from FactSet analysts. Revenue also saw a healthy 20% climb, reaching $1.56 billion against an anticipated $1.5 billion.

Chief Executive Bill Burns attributed the performance to strong supplier relationships and a strategic focus on emerging automation trends. Looking ahead, the company raised its guidance for the remainder of the year. For the third quarter, management projects sales growth between 17% and 20%, with adjusted earnings per share reaching as high as $4.90. Full-year expectations remain equally optimistic, with the company forecasting adjusted earnings per share between $20.75 and $21.25, topping the $18.57 average estimate currently held by market analysts.
