Laird Superfood Scales Retail Presence with Walmart Expansion

More than 1,000 Walmart stores across the United States now stock Laird Superfood’s functional coffee and protein creamers. The expansion marks a significant push by the Boulder-based company to broaden access to its mushroom-infused blends, following a strategy centered on high-altitude Peruvian beans and plant-based ingredients.

The rollout features the company’s signature Perform and Focus coffee lines, available as ground coffee and in K-Cup formats. Alongside these, shoppers will find the brand’s new Protein Creamer, which combines coconut milk powder with a blend of pea, hemp, and pumpkin seed protein. Each serving of the creamer delivers 12 grams of protein and includes Lion’s Mane mushroom, CognatiQ coffee fruit extract, and Aquamin mineral complex.

Co-founders Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece established the brand in 2015 to refine morning routines through minimally processed, functional additives. While the Perform blend utilizes a mix of chaga, maitake, and cordyceps to support energy, the Focus variety incorporates rhodiola and coffee cherry to aid mental clarity. This retail move puts the company’s specialized, adaptogen-heavy products directly into the mainstream grocery market.
