Ascensus Finalizes Acquisition of AmericanTCS

Dresher-based financial services firm Ascensus has completed its acquisition of AmericanTCS, a move designed to consolidate its influence across the retirement, trust, and custody sectors. The integration adds specialized technology platforms and expanded fiduciary services to the buyer’s existing infrastructure, aiming to reach a broader base of small and mid-sized employers.

The merger brings together two entities with long-standing footprints in the savings ecosystem. For Ascensus, the addition of AmericanTCS provides immediate access to proprietary technology, including the PensionPro and ERISApedia platforms, which are intended to streamline workflows for recordkeepers and third-party administrators. By folding these tools into its current model, the firm seeks to improve operational efficiency for its institutional partners.

Nick Good, CEO of Ascensus, noted that the deal fulfills a strategy of scaling service capabilities to help more Americans reach financial security. Tim Friday, formerly President and CEO of American Trust Custody and now President of Trust & Custody at the combined organization, emphasized that the transition offers clients access to deeper resources and more robust custodial solutions. The integration process is underway, with both parties prioritizing continuity for existing partners throughout the transition.
