The company now anticipates full-year consolidated net sales of approximately $900 million, a retreat from its previous $910 million forecast. Profitability expectations took a sharper hit, with adjusted earnings guidance cut to 55 cents per share from the earlier estimate of 76 cents. For the third quarter ending October 3, Usana reported $205.9 million in revenue, a decline from the $213.7 million recorded during the same period last year.
Despite the bottom-line pressure, Usana logged a net loss of $5.6 million, or 30 cents per share, showing a marginal improvement over the $6.5 million loss reported a year prior. Chief Executive Kevin Guest characterized the results as mixed, citing ongoing efforts to transition into an omnichannel health and wellness firm. While Guest noted progress in specific segments, the company remains in a phase of heavy investment intended to stabilize its competitive standing.
