The company reported that 42 institutions, including academic centers and National Comprehensive Cancer Network members, now utilize the therapy. Institutional vial orders rose 31% during the quarter ending June 30, with wholesalers beginning to increase inventory to match the rising clinical demand. Leonard Mazur, Chairman and CEO of Citius Oncology, noted that success relies on a dual strategy: securing institutional formulary approvals to unlock access and deepening relationships with clinical experts.
Formulary inclusion serves as the primary gateway for patient access, with the company currently targeting coverage at 100 priority treatment centers by the end of the year. While review processes at these institutions can take several months, the firm reports that most facilities begin ordering the drug within two to six weeks of approval. Beyond domestic adoption, Citius Oncology is leveraging scientific exchange initiatives to increase clinical understanding of the drug's profile, a move supported by recent engagements at the Sixth World Congress of Cutaneous Lymphomas in Montreal. With near-universal payer coverage now secured, the company aims to capitalize on an initial market for the treatment currently valued at over $400 million.
