VIAVI Reports Strong Fiscal Year Growth Driven by Datacenter Expansion

VIAVI Solutions posted a robust finish to fiscal year 2026, reporting quarterly revenue of $443.1 million, a 52.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The Chandler-based firm credited this performance to its strategic pivot toward datacenter ecosystems and aerospace and defense markets, which buffered broader sector volatility.

For the full fiscal year, the company generated $1.5 billion in revenue, marking a 40% gain year-over-year. While GAAP results showed a net loss of $30.4 million, non-GAAP net income reached $243.8 million, reflecting a significant 128.5% improvement over the prior year. President and CEO Oleg Khaykin noted that the company’s diversification strategy successfully met internal targets and is expected to sustain growth momentum into the coming quarters.

Operational margins also saw marked improvement, with non-GAAP operating margins reaching 24% for the fourth quarter—a 960 basis point jump year-over-year. The Network and Service Enablement segment served as the primary engine for this success, contributing $1.18 billion to the annual revenue total. Looking ahead to the first quarter of fiscal 2027, the company projects revenue between $450 million and $460 million, with non-GAAP earnings per share anticipated in the $0.40 to $0.42 range.
