AssetBuilt Launches AI Platform for Industrial Asset Management

Encino-based firm AssetBuilt has unveiled a proprietary AI platform designed to automate the valuation and strategic assessment of industrial equipment. By processing nameplate data and equipment imagery, the system aims to replace fragmented manual research with rapid market analysis for lenders, manufacturers, and private equity firms.

The platform, dubbed AssetBuilt Intelligence, functions as a digital intake tool where users upload photographs, inventories, or individual asset specifications. Once the data is processed, the system identifies equipment models, estimates market value ranges based on historical transaction data, and suggests disposition strategies. This approach is intended to streamline the initial stages of complex financial maneuvers like corporate restructuring, portfolio optimization, and facility closures.

CEO Tara Shaikh emphasized that the technology is intended to augment, rather than replace, human expertise. While the platform handles the high-speed data synthesis, the firm maintains professional oversight to ensure that AI-generated insights are tempered by industry experience. The system is built around four primary functions: identifying specifications, assessing market value, strategizing disposition paths, and monetizing assets through the firm's existing advisory network. Developed under the leadership of Head of Marketing Stef Barlowe, the initiative represents a broader shift toward integrating proprietary technology into traditional industrial asset advisory services.
