SEI Launches ANGU ETF to Target Factor-Based Equity Exposure

SEI has debuted the SEI Ang Research Enhanced U.S. Large Cap ETF, marking the firm's first move into a new suite of research-driven investment products. The fund, trading under the ticker ANGU, aims to mitigate concentration risks inherent in traditional market-cap-weighted indexes by applying systematic factor tilts.

The new ETF tracks the iSTOXX Ang Research Enhanced U.S. Large Cap Index, a benchmark developed in partnership with quantitative finance expert Dr. Andrew Ang and STOXX Ltd. By integrating signals for value, quality, and momentum, the fund seeks to provide investors with a more intentional core equity allocation. The strategy maintains a benchmark-aware profile to ensure it stays closely aligned with the broader U.S. large-cap market while attempting to improve performance through dynamic exposure management.

Robert Hum, head of investment product and commercialization at SEI, noted that the launch addresses investor demand for solutions that look beyond standard market-cap weighting. The collaboration utilizes Dr. Ang’s academic framework to define and implement factor exposures, providing a scalable vehicle for advisors. This launch reflects SEI’s broader push to translate quantitative research into transparent, cost-efficient ETF structures, building on the firm's long-standing background in asset management and financial technology.
