Canada Nickel Hits Highest Grade Intervals Yet at Reid Project

Canada Nickel Company has intersected its highest-grade nickel mineralization to date at the Reid Nickel Sulphide Project, located 39 kilometres northwest of Timmins, Ontario. The discovery, featuring 1.01% nickel over 4.5 metres, bolsters the company’s efforts to expand its resource base within the prolific Timmins Nickel District.

The latest findings come from the first two of nine holes in an ongoing infill drilling program designed to upgrade mineral resources at the site. Drillhole REI26-92A returned significant intercepts, including 0.54% nickel over 43.5 metres nested within a broader 576.6-metre interval grading 0.29% nickel. According to CEO Mark Selby, these results underscore the broader potential of the company's holdings in the region, even as the firm focuses on advancing its flagship Crawford project toward federal milestones.

Reid remains a critical asset for the company, boasting a geophysical footprint roughly 2.5 times larger than Crawford. The site primarily consists of dunite and peridotite, with the current nine-hole program aiming to shift potential zones into inferred and indicated categories. Beyond exploration, the company recently formalized an amending agreement for mineral claims in the Cochrane District, involving a $2,400 cash payment and 60,000 common shares. These acquisitions remain subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
