Celanese Hikes Asian Pricing for Polyamide and Polyester Lines

Starting November 9, Celanese is lifting prices for select polyamide and polyester products throughout Asia. The specialty chemicals company confirmed that customers will see increases ranging from 20 cents to 30 cents per kilogram, a move driven by rising production costs and shifting regional market conditions.

Celanese Hikes Asian Pricing for Polyamide and Polyester Lines

The price adjustments apply to a broad portfolio of brand lines, including Zytel, Frianyl, Celanyl, Minlon, CoolPoly, Ecomid, Prastin, Celanex, and Rynite. The specific cost hike for each item depends on the underlying base resin.

This decision follows a series of similar global price increases implemented by Celanese over the past several months. The company continues to adjust its pricing strategy to offset sustained upward pressure on manufacturing expenses and broader volatility in chemical markets.
