The legal action, brought by Pomerantz LLP, represents investors who purchased Wix securities between February 19, 2025, and May 12, 2026. Plaintiffs allege that the company touted innovations like the 'vibe coding' platform Base44 and the Wix Harmony site builder as key competitive advantages, even as internal costs spiraled and competing technologies began to outpace their offerings. According to the complaint, management failed to disclose that these AI products were underperforming and significantly more expensive to maintain than publicly represented.
Investor confidence faced a series of sharp declines throughout the period, punctuated by negative quarterly earnings reports and a string of analyst downgrades. When Wix reported its Q1 2026 results in May, the company admitted to gaps in the Wix Harmony platform and acknowledged that professional developers were migrating to rival tools. This disclosure triggered a 27% single-day drop in the company’s stock price. Investors seeking to participate in the class action have until September 22, 2026, to petition the court for the role of lead plaintiff.
