Valerio brings a deep background in financial governance and risk management to the organization, having previously served as an Assurance and Advisory Partner at Ernst & Young. His career includes leadership roles such as the Americas Retail and Consumer Products Industry Leader, where he oversaw teams of 700 professionals.

Retired Rear Adm. Alan Reyes, President and CEO of Operation Homefront, noted that Valerio’s expertise in long-term sustainability will be critical as the group works to prevent short-term financial hardships from becoming chronic issues for veterans. Valerio, a St. John’s University alumnus, intends to apply his experience in complex organizational restructuring to help the nonprofit expand its impact as families transition into civilian life.
