Since the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) took over management and rebranded the event in 2022, the show has earned 16 Grand Award nominations, securing wins for "The Greatest Trade Show of 2024" and "Most Innovative Show." The upcoming ceremony in Palos Verdes, California, will evaluate the Louisville-based expo against the top trade shows across the United States. This recognition follows a consistent streak of success, with the event’s floor space selling out months in advance for five consecutive years.
Drawing 30,000 registered professionals last year, the expo continues to expand its reach, reporting a 12 percent growth in landscaper attendance and a 17 percent increase in dealer participation. The 2026 event is scheduled for October 20-23 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Beyond the trade floor, the show features a 30-acre Outdoor Demo Yard and the new Equip Academy education program, designed to offer hands-on experience with emerging smart technologies and heavy equipment. Looking ahead, the organization plans to transition to a two-city rotation starting in 2029, alternating between Louisville and Orlando.
