DogPack Integrates Healthy Paws Insurance into Pet Owner Platform

Montreal-based DogPack is expanding its utility beyond social networking and park discovery by integrating pet insurance directly into its mobile app. Starting August 11, the platform’s United States users can now access accident and illness coverage from Healthy Paws, a division of the global insurance giant Chubb.

The integration allows users to view personalized insurance quotes based on their dog’s specific profile, creating a streamlined enrollment path within the existing app interface. By embedding these financial services where owners already engage with community content, the companies aim to reduce the friction typically associated with securing pet healthcare.

Jonathan Punski, CEO of DogPack, noted that the move reflects a shift in user needs, moving from simple social discovery to comprehensive pet management. Healthy Paws, which operates under the Chubb umbrella, emphasizes a model that allows owners to visit any licensed veterinarian without network restrictions. The insurer currently processes most claims within two days, a feature they hope will appeal to the 2.5 million users currently active on the DogPack platform. This partnership signals a growing industry trend of consolidating essential pet services into centralized digital hubs.
