Ace Hardware Hits Record Revenue of $3 Billion in Second Quarter

Ace Hardware Corporation posted record-breaking financial results for the second quarter of 2026, with revenues reaching $3 billion. The hardware cooperative saw a 5.9 percent increase in revenue compared to the same period last year, driven by steady demand across its retail network and double-digit growth in digital sales.

Net income for the quarter climbed to $155.6 million, marking a 31 percent jump over 2025 figures. CEO John Venhuizen attributed the performance to strong same-store sales and the ongoing expansion of the company’s retail footprint. The cooperative now services 5,283 domestic stores, reflecting a net increase of 88 locations since the second quarter of 2025.

While the company experienced a slight 1.9 percent dip in same-store transaction volume, this was countered by a 3.1 percent rise in the average ticket size. Wholesale revenues reached $2.7 billion, bolstered by robust demand for grilling equipment, outdoor power tools, and paint supplies. Additionally, the company benefited from a $11.8 million tariff refund from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, contributing to the quarter's positive earnings momentum.
