The Belgrade-based service processed 1,563 cases during the second quarter, successfully closing 1,068 of them. This activity directly benefited 3,649 users and involved 1,160 different operators, ranging from online casinos to sportsbooks. International casino disputes accounted for the vast majority of the recovered funds, totaling $3.25 million—a sharp increase from the $2.03 million recovered in the first quarter of the year.
The most prominent case involved a player who spent months locked out of an account at 1xBet after a winning bet. The dispute centered on a balance of $2,540,999 that remained inaccessible despite the player providing the required verification documentation. Following months of mediation by the AskGamblers team, the sportsbook released the funds, allowing the player to complete the withdrawal. Dijana Radunović, General Manager at AskGamblers, noted that the record figures reflect a growing need for independent oversight as more users seek help with issues they cannot navigate alone. Since its inception, the service has secured over $90.1 million in total recoveries for players.
