The group's operating profit after tax climbed 8.3% to RMB84.2 billion, supported by an 11.2% increase in new business value within its life and health insurance division. This performance reflects a strategic pivot toward higher-quality business growth, moving away from simple volume expansion. The company’s focus on its dual-pronged strategy—integrating financial services with health and senior care—has yielded tangible results, with retail customer numbers reaching 253 million and internal customer acquisition costs dropping significantly below external market averages.
Technological innovation remains the primary driver of this efficiency. By June 2026, Ping An’s daily AI token consumption hit 120 billion, up from 30 billion at the end of 2025. This infrastructure now powers 81% of all customer service interactions through AI agents, while specialized financial and medical large language models have secured top rankings on industry benchmarks. The firm is also expanding its footprint in the 'longevity era,' with health and senior care services now integrated into the core customer experience, serving over 11 million life insurance clients and facilitating a 97% satisfaction rating in its auto insurance division.
