Recent activity indicates that Coal India is already evaluating specific targets, including potential stakes in Canada’s Wealth Minerals and its lithium operations in Chile. These efforts complement existing state-level agreements with Argentina, designed to boost exploration and secure resource stability. With a $10 billion investment earmarked for rare earth elements this year, India is escalating its push to diversify its industrial resource base, shifting from a focus on coal extraction toward a more expansive, globalized portfolio of critical commodities.
