Royal Caribbean Finalizes $1.25 Billion Debt Offering

Royal Caribbean Group has closed its public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due in 2034. The cruise giant, which carries a 5.550% interest rate on the new debt, plans to funnel the capital into settling existing floating rate term loans and refinancing broader corporate obligations.

The Miami-based operator finalized the transaction this week following an effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year. The notes are scheduled to reach maturity on January 20, 2034, barring any early redemption or repurchase actions taken by the company.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as the lead book-running managers for the deal. This move allows the cruise operator to restructure its debt profile as it continues managing a fleet of 71 vessels across its Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea brands.
