Alam, who holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Duke University, intends to bridge the gap between rapid technological shifts and classroom learning. Her new venture will provide after-school, weekend, and summer programs covering robotics, coding, drone programming, and financial literacy. By leveraging the company’s Entrepreneurial STEAM model, she plans to offer more than just technical instruction, focusing instead on developing communication, critical thinking, and ethical judgment alongside core STEM subjects.

Company President Shubhra Kant highlighted that Alam’s dual background as a veteran tech professional and a longtime community advocate makes her uniquely suited for this expansion. COMPUCHILD, a Cognia-certified organization with over 30 years of history, emphasizes a model that combines national curriculum support with local community engagement. For Alam, the transition represents an opportunity to influence student confidence directly, helping the next generation navigate a landscape where artificial intelligence and machine learning are increasingly central to both career paths and daily life.
