Fasting-Berg transitions to the SUNY-affiliated college from WME Fashion, where she served as executive vice president and CMO. Her career includes a decade-long tenure at Condé Nast, managing marketing strategy for major titles such as Vogue, GQ, and Vanity Fair. At FIT, she will report directly to President Jason Schupbach, focusing on translating the institution's creative output into broader cultural and economic influence.
The appointment follows a national search and aligns with Schupbach’s vision to position FIT as a primary laboratory for 21st-century creative business careers. Board of Trustees Chair Robin Burns-McNeill noted that Fasting-Berg’s background in brand storytelling, coupled with her experience as a SUNY alumna, will be critical in connecting the college’s academic mission to industry partners. Fasting-Berg intends to leverage her expertise in digital platform expansion—honed through work on high-profile events like the Met Gala—to drive growth and institutional awareness.
