AllianceBernstein Municipal Fund Updates July Portfolio Holdings

AllianceBernstein National Municipal Income Fund, Inc. has published its portfolio breakdown for the period ending July 31, 2026. The closed-end fund, which manages $339.07 million in net assets, continues to lean heavily into long-term municipal debt with a diversified strategy focused on revenue-generating infrastructure projects across the United States.

The fund's top holdings are currently anchored by the San Francisco International Airport Series 2026-2 bonds, which represent 3.71% of the portfolio. Other significant positions include the Melissa Independent School District and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. With 189 total holdings, the fund maintains a significant concentration in airport revenue bonds, which account for 14.72% of total sector exposure, followed by not-for-profit health care at 10.30%.

Geographically, the fund is most heavily weighted toward Texas at 12.57% and California at 12.04%, with Florida and New York rounding out the top four states. Credit quality remains concentrated in the higher tiers, with 49.76% of holdings rated AA or AAA. The fund reports an average coupon of 5.90% and an effective duration of 12.36 years, reflecting a long-term outlook as 64.16% of its bonds reach maturity between 20 and 30 years.
