The issuance covers two distinct tiers of preferred equity. Series H shares, maturing in five years, carry an initial dividend rate of 6.19%, while Series I shares, set for a three-year term, offer a 6.03% rate. Nomura Securities International and UBS Securities served as the co-placement agents for the transaction.
The capital injection spans six funds, with the Calamos Strategic Total Return Fund (CSQ) receiving the largest portion at $151 million. Other participants include the Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund (CHI), the Calamos Convertible and High Income Fund (CHY), the Calamos Global Dynamic Income Fund (CHW), the Calamos Global Total Return Fund (CGO), and the Calamos Dynamic Convertible and Income Fund (CCD).
