Beyond mobility improvements, the projects delivered $314.1 million in direct financial value to TxDOT through revenue sharing and refinancing gains. While private concessionaires manage operations and assume financial risk, the corridors remain publicly owned. Current toll revenue is now funding the NTE Capacity Improvement Project, an expansion set for completion in early 2027 that adds general-purpose and managed lanes without utilizing taxpayer funding.
