Hamai Industries Net Profit Climbs Despite Operating Dip

Hamai Industries reported a net profit of 362 million yen for the nine months ending September 30, nearly doubling the 185 million yen recorded during the same period last year. This sharp bottom-line growth occurred even as the company faced tightening margins across its core operations.

Revenue for the Japanese manufacturer reached 9.14 billion yen, rising from 8.62 billion yen in the prior year. However, underlying profitability faced pressure, with operating profit falling to 537 million yen from 804 million yen. Pretax profit followed a similar downward trajectory, settling at 602 million yen compared to 860 million yen in 2024. Despite these operational headwinds, earnings per share climbed to 54.14 yen, up from 27.74 yen. These figures, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a complex financial period where bottom-line gains outpaced the company's operating performance.
