The amended legal notice extends the deadline for class members to object or opt out of the agreement to October 23, 2026. The settlement covers entities that purchased boxed or case-ready beef—specifically cuts from the chuck, loin, rib, or round—directly from the defendants between January 1, 2015, and February 29, 2020. Plaintiffs allege the companies combined to stabilize and raise prices, a claim the defendants continue to deny.
Those who previously filed a claim for the JBS settlement are automatically eligible for this round and do not need to resubmit documentation. New claimants must submit forms by November 30, 2026. The court has scheduled a fairness hearing for November 12, 2026, to review the agreement and consider requests for attorneys' fees and litigation expenses.
