The company reported a massive leap from the 49.1 million Canadian dollars recorded during the same period last year. IMAX 70mm screenings proved particularly lucrative, accounting for 54% of the total revenue as audiences prioritized high-end viewing options. Beyond ticket sales, the theater chain reached a milestone in ancillary spending, with concession revenue per patron exceeding 15.00 Canadian dollars for the first time.
This August performance serves as a sharp recovery from a flat July, bringing year-to-date third-quarter revenue to 170.6 million Canadian dollars. Management expects this trajectory to hold through the winter months, bolstered by a high-profile release calendar featuring Avengers: Doomsday, Dune: Part Three, and Jumanji: Open World.
