Westerville Inventor Pitches Hands-Free Hydration System for Drivers

Looking to keep eyes on the road and hands on the wheel, a Westerville, Ohio, inventor has developed the Drive-N-Slurp. The patent-pending accessory aims to eliminate the distraction of reaching for beverage containers while operating a vehicle, offering a streamlined approach to hydration during long commutes.

The device functions by removing the physical requirement to lift a drink to one’s mouth, a common motion that forces drivers to briefly divert their attention from traffic. By integrating a hands-free delivery mechanism, the inventor claims the design prioritizes road safety alongside driver convenience. A functional prototype is currently available to demonstrate the concept.

The project is now under the guidance of InventHelp, a firm based in Pittsburgh that manages the licensing and marketing process for new product submissions. Manufacturers interested in the accessory are being directed to the company’s Cincinnati office to review the design, which is identified under the reference number 25-CNH-7002.
