This recognition marks the second time this year that ZS has topped an IDC MarketScape report, following a similar honor for its R&D strategic consulting services in May. According to Rohan Fernando, managing principal of the firm’s life sciences R&D and medical practice, the industry is shifting toward more connected strategies, requiring companies to bridge the gap between evidence generation and final decision-making.
The IDC assessment specifically pointed to the strength of ZS’s ZAIDYN medical intelligence platform and the AI-enabled Patient Radar tool, which assists in identifying patients with rare diseases. The report cited a case study where the firm helped diagnose 26 new patients within a single year. Furthermore, the firm’s Evidence Pro platform has demonstrated high efficiency, reportedly reducing the development time for Integrated Evidence Planning from several months to just 10 weeks for over 30 plans.
Beyond its software capabilities, the firm maintains a strong footprint in Europe with its Data Nexus platform, which holds the distinction of being the first RWE solution to secure Europrivacy certification. With a reported 97% client retention rate, ZS continues to expand its medical and evidence practice to meet the growing pressure on life sciences organizations to validate product efficacy across the entire life cycle.
