Ritholtz Wealth Management Taps Hadrius to Secure Claude AI Deployment

Ritholtz Wealth Management, an RIA overseeing $9.4 billion in assets, has partnered with compliance firm Hadrius to integrate Anthropic’s Claude chatbot into its workforce. The move creates a structured oversight system designed to meet strict SEC and FINRA recordkeeping requirements while enabling broad access to generative AI tools.

The collaboration centers on Hadrius' new AI governance module, which integrates with Claude’s Compliance API to archive user interactions and monitor data access. By treating AI-driven conversations with the same scrutiny applied to email, Ritholtz aims to mitigate regulatory risk without stifling the adoption of new technology. This initiative extends beyond AI, as the firm plans to consolidate its entire communications archiving infrastructure onto the Hadrius platform.

Thomas Stewart, CEO of Hadrius, noted that compliance officers currently face a regulatory vacuum regarding AI, forcing firms to build their own guardrails. For Ritholtz CEO Josh Brown, the partnership is a proactive step to ensure employees utilize advanced tools within a secure environment. The firm intends to maintain full audit-ready records for all LLM activity, ensuring that innovation remains compatible with the firm's obligations as a fiduciary advisor.
