The company’s proprietary Cognitive Network Restoration Therapy (CNRT) targets the central thalamus, a critical hub for executive function, arousal, and attention. By stimulating underactive but viable neural circuits, the therapy aims to reverse impairment rather than simply teaching patients to adapt to their limitations. The technology stems from decades of research led by Dr. Nicholas Schiff at Weill Cornell Medicine, alongside colleagues at Stanford University and the University of Utah, with early results published in Nature Medicine.
This oversubscribed financing round was co-led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP) and Santé, with additional backing from Oxford Science Enterprises, 415 Capital, IAG Capital Partners, The Vertical Group, and Dendrion Ventures. ReEmerge will utilize the capital to launch a multicenter clinical study (NCT07730099) involving up to 40 patients suffering from chronic moderate-to-severe TBI. CEO Todd Langevin noted that the investment signals strong confidence in the company’s ability to evolve the recovery trajectory from standard rehabilitation to active restoration of cognitive function.
