Finnegan joined the accounting and advisory firm in 2002 and has spent his career shaping the Assurance practice, where he focused on audit quality and internal team development. His appointment comes as the San Francisco-based firm looks to scale its national capabilities while maintaining its status as a Certified B Corp. As COO, he will manage business processes and strategic execution, reporting directly to CEO Nick Steiner.

Steiner praised Finnegan’s operational insight, noting that his experience in navigating the firm through periods of significant growth makes him the logical successor to Sorboro. Finnegan, a licensed CPA and University of San Francisco graduate, emphasized his intent to focus on the firm's operational foundation. He will continue to work on the internal culture initiatives that defined his time leading the Assurance group, aiming to balance client service with staff development as the firm expands its footprint across industries ranging from life sciences to agribusiness.
