The Dallas-Fort Worth expansion arrives as the region grapples with a surging demographic of residents aged 65 and older, which grew by 15% between 2020 and 2023. Beyond the population boom, the North Texas Food Bank reports that local senior food insecurity has climbed from 97,000 affected individuals in 2022 to approximately 120,000 today. The franchise model aims to mitigate these challenges by pairing chef-prepared meals with a delivery system where drivers serve as a social touchpoint for isolated adults.
Chris Webb, President of Heart to Home Meals USA, noted that the company has prioritized Texas due to the state’s rapid aging trends and the clear demand for home-based support. The new territory is operated by one of the brand's first 10 U.S. franchisees, who will benefit from a $40,000 incentive reinvested directly into local marketing. Backed by the global parent company apetito, which generates over $1 billion in annual sales, the brand plans to continue its aggressive growth across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Florida throughout the coming year.
