Ascot Group Launches Foundation to Formalize Global Philanthropy

To mark a quarter-century of operations, specialty insurer Ascot Group has established The Ascot Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity designed to centralize its charitable giving. The new organization will focus corporate resources on three primary sectors: health and wellness, education, and environmental sustainability across its international hubs.

The initiative consolidates Ascot’s existing community support programs, utilizing regional committees in the U.S., UK, and Bermuda to direct local engagement. To boost participation, the firm is introducing an employee matching gift program alongside structured volunteer opportunities. These efforts aim to integrate the company’s corporate culture with tangible community impact.

In celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary, the Foundation is launching a commemorative campaign awarding grants to 25 nonprofit organizations. CEO Jonathan Zaffino stated that the move provides a scalable framework for the company’s philanthropy, ensuring support remains sustainable and aligned with the specific needs of the regions where the firm maintains a physical presence. Chief Human Resources Officer Bill Thygeson added that the foundation serves to unify the company’s giving strategy, reflecting the values known internally as The Ascot Way.
