Brooklyn Inventor Targets Hospital Safety with New Patient-Moving Device

A Brooklyn-based inventor has designed a specialized tool dubbed the NURSES WEEKEND, aimed at minimizing physical strain for caregivers while improving patient safety. The device simplifies the process of repositioning individuals in bed, an essential task for hygiene, linen changes, and the prevention of painful pressure sores.

The invention centers on an adjustable mechanism that allows medical staff and home caregivers to maneuver patients with increased efficiency. By reducing the physical effort required for these routine tasks, the design addresses a common cause of workplace injury in clinical and home healthcare environments. The developer conceived the project after identifying a need for a safer, more reliable method for moving patients who are unable to assist themselves.

InventHelp, which manages the intellectual property filing, has confirmed the availability of technical drawings and a prototype for industry review. The company is currently seeking manufacturers and marketers interested in licensing the device. Interested parties can reach the firm at their Pittsburgh headquarters, referencing project code 25-MBQ-965.
